I just said goodbye to the last two chocolate truffles.
It was very hard…! I’m like bank account…very receptive to deposits of chocolate, withdrawals are a completely different thing.
Ah well, thankfully I got a lovely email this morning me of oatmeal raisin cookies in my friends’ lab and it helped me to deal with the loss :-)
They are/were very good cookies … chewy and buttery and mmmm.
Oh, and I don’t have to pay rent for May!
I actually love my rental agency. They don’t bother me unduly!
Events and Festivals
I was just browsing one of our tourism sites, VisitTnT.com and found this page somehow.
It gives last year’s dates for things but no biggie.
The point is, it’s kinda funny, where else are you going to find Carnival and ‘Id being promoted on not just the same site, but the same webpage :-)
Okay, maybe there are others… :-P

The delphi Poll Vault is officially closed. I closed it myself. We had 870,000+ messages there. The forum was created on 2/3/2000 at 10:04:00 PM and after 1547 days, closed today, 4/29/2004, at 11:11am. I posted 16,513 on that forum!

My favourite forum (message board) just closed down. It’s like the end of an era for me…I’ve been posting at The Poll Vault since late 2000. Don’t bother clicking on the link. It’ll just take you to DelphiForums.
I just got my stats from it (one of the managers):
According to your profile you had 24,477 msgs. And you first visited on 12/10/2000. Total number of visits, 2521.
It’s very hard when your favourite place to hang out closes down. And all because of the evil DelphiForums and their modus operandi.
Anywayz, on a more positve note there is NuVault or TPV2 or now The Poll Vault over at GoJabber.com and although you might say, oh look it’s still there…it’s not quite the same, it’s like moving house.
We’re all rather down..
On a positive note, I think I actually got The Last Word at the forum…hehehehe

Do you think I should get a polling function?
I like polls, but I’m not sure if I’ll use it very often.
If I had a polling function I could ask this question and the others to come.
Do you think I should get the threaded comments hack?
I like those…but after awhile it might get slightly crowded with all the indents…and I’m not sure if it collapses them like in LiveJournal and such.
Do you think I should get one of those things that emails people when someone posts a comment on an entry in which they also posted a comment? Or too much spam? I guess if people are *really* interested they will come back, right?
Of course, I don’t know what’s going to be implemented in later versions of WordPress so maybe I don’t have to worry.
I am also going to sleep early!! Yay! (early means long before 2 AM).

I paid my taxes. I did, both federal and state.
The state took weeks to reach its destination but never mind…it did.
Finally.
I want my money. I know it’s not much but I still want my money. Please give me my money.
My rent is due. I should write a check for this and mail it promptly tomorrow (oh today!).
But it occurred to me that May is my last month here so maybe I paid it already (you kow, first month’s rent, last month’s rent and security deposit). So I should call my landlords…
And I have to call all the places that bill me to cancel things.
I will have to put up a to do list too.
Hopefully I get everything done.
Things I need to get done now and things I need to get so I can get stuff done when I go back home.
And I have a lovely picture of a dragon.
I’m also working on my dragon but I’m not sure how to get texture…
I’m told he/she/it looks like a sea dragon or a kelpie or suchlike so I think I don’t need to give him/her/it feet! :-D
My sister loves to spin theories and tell stories (this is a polite way of putting it! And we’re polite on my blog) so it’s all her fault. Here’s the result of her latest one about the laws of nature and lawyers. And also some IM’ing between us.
