add-ons i want for my blog

Do you think I should get a polling function?
I like polls, but I’m not sure if I’ll use it very often.
If I had a polling function I could ask this question and the others to come.

Do you think I should get the threaded comments hack?
I like those…but after awhile it might get slightly crowded with all the indents…and I’m not sure if it collapses them like in LiveJournal and such.

Do you think I should get one of those things that emails people when someone posts a comment on an entry in which they also posted a comment? Or too much spam? I guess if people are *really* interested they will come back, right?

Of course, I don’t know what’s going to be implemented in later versions of WordPress so maybe I don’t have to worry.

I am also going to sleep early!! Yay! (early means long before 2 AM).
Good night…off to say good night somewhere else too.

  1. The threaded comments sound nice. :)

  2. yeah i think so too…but how much indentation does it go for? i saw it somewhere and it seemed it wrapped for every word because it was so deep

  3. You mean right here? Yeah…

Personally I don’t think threaded comments is a good idea. i mean, i wouldn’t really use it im afraid…

    A poll won’t hurt though..

Do you think I should get one of those things that emails people when someone posts a comment on an entry in which they also posted a comment?

    No.

  4. Do you mean, you’d just keep replying to me (my blog)?
    Okay :-)

    I love polls!

Um, why can’t I see anything different about the text you “cited”?

  5. I think threaded comments can get too complex for their own good and start to become confusing. Polls fine. My WordPress already does emails it just needs setting up tho I don’t know which version you have.

  6. i’m running the April 23rd nightly (1.2 alpha)…
    it emails me…
    i like polls…:-)
