Polling function
Remember when I said I wanted polls and most of you said that’d be good…
Well, I’ve installed the option, I see it in my menu but I won’t try making a new poll until I get some things working. This is wp-polls from Lester Chan!
I need to fix the CSS for the options and results because it’s not how I like it. If anybody knows how, you can save me time and tell me but it’s no big deal, I’ll find out soon enough. Not just how it looks, but probably the spacing on my page too, and maybe a better place to put it? Like the unused little left side space.
Also, I don’t like how it looks on IE, not that I use IE, but if I can fix it to like how the radio buttons look on IE, I will try.
Another thing I need to figure out is how to allow someone to vote from a specific entry page…like if you go to the link above, I don’t think the poll works.
And there are other things I want, like navigation through the pages of entries but I’m not sure if that’s in the new WordPress 1.2 beta and also, one step at a time!
ahm, shouldn’t you arrange the poll options in order? I almost went to clikc the top one and then realise that the excellent was right next to the bad. BTW, this comment box extends off the browser window and behind the right column, for me anyway

@Chennette: It was just the default poll and I didn’t change anything, just set it up and went to sleep, to work out the problems later..
I noticed that happens in IE (the comment box). Does it happen only when you click inside the box? I guess I’ll put it on my list of things to fix/check.
@Samuel: I’m really not all that good with CSS…meaning once upon a time I was…not I have no idea how people make all their pretty pages, but I love the EditCSS extension for Mozilla Firefox. And as my sister said, I still have things to fix :-)

Yeah, IE really sucks. Why the hell did Micro-fuckin’-Soft start to invent their own “standards”?
I’m pretty curious on how it will look on a real browser, though.

However, if you’re trying to vote from a full post page, you get an error like this:
Hmmm… You could solve this by altering
form action="index.php"; change it toform action="/wpress/index.php"(I think).P.S.: aaaaaargh!!! tables!!!

ARGH! That’ll teach me to code when I’m dead tired and only want more sleep..fixed that link!
Hmm..that’ll teach me to just copy in code etc etc…but see, I figured if I copied it in I would work on it as opposed to just waiting and waiting and do nothing! That would be in my-hacks? or wp-polls or one of them…*sigh*
Oh and eek! sorry about the tables…I did read that somewhere…I think that’s how the function comes and thanks for pointing it out to me…I must read my code before I try editing the CSS!!! I’ll go see about fixing it I guess…if my brain power can handle that!

So, the comment box thing only happens when I actuall start to type.
I am not here to make technical comments, I am deficient and apparently burdened by my browser (woo, what did you do there? It scrolled for me and I could SEE what I was typing!!!)
Anyway, I have 5 pages, only 10 more to go!!!

Yup then I know about that…not sure what to do about it.
Yes get mozilla firebird or maybe firefox it is a *small* install and won’t use up your precious 200mb of space.
Anywayz, I’m busy working on the *argh* tables and making sure it references the right pages (you know calls mysite/index.php instead of index.php …) but my php skills aren’t so good…
