General things dealing with Thesis and my stupid life
So, I wrote my first draft for my thesis, with my sister handholding be for the first hour…or maybe more like berating me over IM.
Well thanks to her for bearing with me since she didn’t seem to have had all that much sleep.
It doesn’t have a conclusion or a related work or future work but…at least I tried and wrote something…and came home to get loads of sleep!
I have some stuff to do this weekend and the coming days
- like figure out about related work…
- sort my books and figure out what needs to be carried home and what doesn’t
- start calling places to cancel utilities and change my address
- schedule a date on or before the 27th for the rental agency to come see the place before i leave; i’m thinking the 26th which gives me a day in case i missed something..
- schedule a day for my friends to help me get rid of all my stuff…i’m thinking a couple days before so i can make my apartment sparkling for the rental agency…
- put notices up to try to sell things…some of my stuff somebody might want to buy…right?
- make a list! :-)

and i’ve been called a ma’am
it’s weird :-)
Oh and I finished reading The Well of Lost Plots by Jaspar Fforde…finally!!!
review later if i’m able…maybe…able means capable of writing a review!
You do have a lot to do don’t you? Did your LJ update go as well as my WP update then? I know you like dragons but aren’t they a little large for smilies? I spotted you’d been called ma’am. That’s we polite English types you know. :-)

um yeah as well as…nothing happened on my livejournal
well yes they are kinda large…but think of them as easy images i’ve given people access too if they’re in a dragon mood :-D
hey, being called ma’am is as freaky as being called miss when i taught for a bit!

Oooo. That worked well. Now it occurs to me that you’ve “forced” me to put a “Back” button into my blog and you don’t have one yourself! Add it to your list of “to do’s”. I’ve just installed “Tasks” from Alex King. Maybe you would find it useful. :-) :dragon2:

Minion eh. I’m saying nothing. It’s easy enough. It goes under the “no comments” bit. I got your comment. I haven’t been able to get to Brian’s site for about 2 hours. Keep getting an error message for the database. He’s probably been messing and mucked it up or the server is down. :dragon1:

remember i said, go find 3-4 articles touching on any aspect of your project, read the abstract and the conclusion, and write 2-3 sentences on each article in your paper – time honoured student technique for looking as if you did research
