Walking and walking and walking and walking and walking and walking and walking
wow!
i spent some of tuesday and almost all of wednesday walking around town and around campus…
the infrequent trips on the bus to the mall and back doesn’t count as a rest…cuz it wasn’t very long if you’re on your feet all day.
my feet hurt and i need new sneakers, but i can think happy thoughts because i know a summer visitor to our happy little valley (ack) will know how to get around, will be able to make grocery and go shopping by bus…will have a phone…will be able to take peter pan to boston or to the bigger mall or anywhere else she pleases…and will know some of the buildings that i know on campus…oh and will have a semi-clean place to stay, if not a clean place…and will also be able to eat…or cook or something if she so chooses…
now i need to go to the big mall to get sneakers
argh :-(
and i think i should just pack up and go home…cuz there’s no point staying as i can’t seem to do my work! :-(

My feet ache in empathy. *bark bark*

Comment by Jess — Friday 4th, June 2004 @ 10:57 am
did you see the day after tomorrow?
Comment by Lily — Friday 4th, June 2004 @ 11:10 am
No, not much for going to the movies. Probably watch it when it’s available for rent. :P Are you suggesting the cold here is a sign of our impending doom? :-O
Comment by Jess — Friday 4th, June 2004 @ 2:06 pm
no…it’s just you said cold and i did word association…
i wanna see harry potter…*sniffle*
and shrek 2
Comment by Lily — Friday 4th, June 2004 @ 2:31 pm
Well, Lily(pad), I did see Shrek 2, and it was cute. Of course Pus’n Boots stole the show… but I will not wreck it for you… :)
HUmmm, will they let you have roler-blades on campus. Just a thought? They are great on gas :)
Comment by Thomasso — Friday 4th, June 2004 @ 5:53 pm
Walking is good for you. It’s a pity more people in the world don’t do it and leave the damn gas-guzzler in the garage. Don’t you go giving up on the paper or I’ll say something.
Comment by Stuart — Friday 4th, June 2004 @ 6:06 pm
I wanna see Harry Potter 3 as well. :D
Comment by Jess — Friday 4th, June 2004 @ 9:52 pm
@Thomasso: they might…i don’t drive anyways, i just use the bus :-)
@Stuart: hey it was fun, but i need new sneakers and that confirmed it…
so what will you say? :)
@Jess: ooo i saw an artsy movie today/tonight!
Comment by Lily — Saturday 5th, June 2004 @ 12:20 am
An artsy movie, eh? Which?
Comment by Jess — Saturday 5th, June 2004 @ 12:51 am
The Scent of the Green Papaya
and About A Boy to counteract the no talking!!
Comment by Lily — Saturday 5th, June 2004 @ 1:45 am
I liked About a Boy. Don’t know exactly what it is about Hugh Grant that appeals to me (must be the accent, heh), but… Haven’t heard of The Scent of the Green Papaya – was it good? I’m in the process of watching Winged Migration – the scenery is gorgeous, but the bird squawking isn’t my favorite sound in the world. :P
Comment by Jess — Saturday 5th, June 2004 @ 2:50 am
I’m sorry for your feet… You really walked for 7 hours non-stop?!
Comment by MaThIbUs — Saturday 5th, June 2004 @ 3:51 am
i loved about a boy :-)
the other is, well it’s good…people don’t talk much…very very very little actually…
hey mathibus, well…thank goodness for the one hour plus lab meeting so i got to rest :)
Comment by Lily — Saturday 5th, June 2004 @ 9:28 am
hmm, walking…such is life of people without cars
DO NOT go thinking about packing it in, it is exaclty those thoughts that are preventing you from doing your work…with you it is an endless circular thought…BREAK IT OFF
so, what was the point of all the walking?
i have still not done my work for my Prof., even though I NOW know exactly what he wants…still can’t seem to make myself do it, BUT I WILL!!!
and so can you

don’t think I meant my comment to sound quite like that…hmm
tired, should sleep, but want to get rid of this nagging thing.
Comment by Chennette — Saturday 5th, June 2004 @ 7:53 pm
rachel & Jamie’s lab has a summer intern so she needed cleaning supplies and i was free and showed her the grocery bus on tuesday and wednesday helped her find a cell phone to buy…
and how to get to the mall (and trader joe’s)
but she forgot how to get there…
so yesterday my partner in procrastination and i went out to early dinner and took her and then we all went to TJ’s…and then um…procrastinated and watched movies and got her worried if she’d get like us when she starts grad school
hehehe
