Shouter Baptist Liberation Day

It is a holiday…and I am home! No class…yippee!

They celebrate today, their freedom to worship as they please.

My CT scan was unremarkable. All that I have to be concerned about is diabetes and preventing it…my high blood pressure (which went down to 133/96 yesterday) and the cholesterol which is a tad bit high and he won’t do anything about that until I’ve completed my family. I had no clue what he was saying. I thought he was talking Greek. I thought he meant until he’d tested my whole family. And he just repeated the same phrase two more times. My mom had to explain to me…after I get married and stop having children.

He was talking Greek.

We’re putting up new curtain rods in my room. So all the curtains are down. Zoë came up to visit. She’s been banned since my niece was born…especially in the room my niece uses when she’s here (by the way, she got her visa, and they went to florida today to meet her other grandparents). So she came up and I was holding and petting her and showed her the view outside one window, and then the view outside the other window but she got scared and hard to hold and jumped out of my hands and ran all the way back to the upstairs door. A truck was coming…very loud and very heavy. Such a scaredy cat! And then when I went to check on her, she ran all the way downstairs.

Firsts…

So, I asked my mom who spoke first in our family…
and according to her my first words were some variation on Lily. How odd. Of course…my mom has a convenient memory and this could be so untrue.

Other firsts…maybe this is TMI but…not much people read this so I guess…I’m not bothering much people :)

Ewww Grapefruit Juice aka Hypertension

I have high blood pressure.
I’ve had it since about 2003…I think.
At least that’s when I remember people first looking at me strangely and asking me when last I got my pressure checked and how much was it…etc etc etc

But recently it’s been higher.
Saturday it was 170/100 and finally the doctor put me on 10mg of some medication a day. And today it was 160/110. The lady who checked my pressure today thinks that it should have been lower because of 4 days of medication. Who knows! But what’s strange is the doctor wanted me to start back taking the birth control pills (*sigh*) which as fr as I know helps to raise blood pressure.

Does grapefruit juice really help? Or is it an old wives’ tale?
*sigh*

I’m very juice picky.
I drink orange juice, pineapple juice and lime juice…
And never mixed, that is, no punch!
I hate grapefruit juice and apple juice and grape juice and all that other crappy stuff.
But I’d drink grapefuit juice before I drink say orange pineapple juice.
Stupid punches.

I have to change my stupid diet.

I think I should leave my job.

OKCupid! The 4-variable IQ Test

Yes! I am a test taker!

Your brain: 40% interpersonal, 120% visual, 120% verbal, and 120% mathematical!
Congratulations on being 400% smart! Actually, on my test, everyone is. The above score breaks down what kind of thinking you most enjoy doing. A score above 100% means you use that kind of thinking more than average, and a score below 100% means you use it less. It says nothing about how good you are at any one, just how interested you are in each, relatively. A substantial difference in scores between two people means, conclusively, that they are different kinds of thinkers.

Matching Summary: Each of us has different tastes. Still, I offer the following advice, which I think is obvious:

  1. Don’t date someone if your interpersonal percentages differ by more than 80%.
  2. Don’t be friends with someone if your verbal percentages differ by more than 100%.
  3. Don’t have sex with someone if their math percentage is over 200%.

My test tracked 4 variables How you compared to other people your age and gender:
free online dating free online dating
You scored higher than 20% on interpersonal
free online dating free online dating
You scored higher than 59% on visual
free online dating free online dating
You scored higher than 80% on verbal
free online dating free online dating
You scored higher than 44% on mathematical
