I want to leave my job.
Certain people think I should start the process of looking at other jobs and thinking of other jobs before leaving.
Certain other people are more extreme and think I should know what I’m going to do before I leave. They don’t think that eliminating one more path is enough.
I don’t care.
I don’t want to do this anymore and it makes me sick, I just know it.
But, I have no clue what to do next or what I can do.
*sigh*

Oh, um, I just remembered about the feed so if any LinuxChix are reading this, I didn’t post this just because I’ve suddenly signed up to the live feed and I want to feel validated. I just got asked questions by a guy and he said post it and I figured why not. Really.
Eeep.
Yes, unfortunately he doesn’t know many technical ladies (and I don’t consider myself one…). I’ve just stumbled along into all this. Not much skills at all. Just enjoyment. But maybe Trinidad is seriously developing and we might one day have a LinuxChix chapter here. Wouldn’t that be awesome!
So, this is the Linux story that came from him asking me about why I love macs. I’m not sure if the log transcript is edited yet (names yes…but…).
Anywayz, how I found Linux follows:

I don’t think it’s the greatest story.
It just sorta happened.
I love my mac but I want a big screen and I want a linux box to mess with and try out so many things.
So, I will go into Linux story later.
But, Shivan Jaikaran (Trini, found his website from T&T Computer Society links…well either that or the TTlug links) asked me how I got into Macs. I didn’t tell him about the obviously evil plotting of my friend Jamie. I mean, he *had* to give his then fiancée reveilles‘ his old PowerMac (yes?) running OS X Panther. And then I had to be staying by her for a month and I am an internet addict. And she was new to things then too. So, I would ask her questions and she’d be like, oh we have to ask him and then when he came over, he’d proudly show off the lovely OS X. And I wasn’t a believer then, because it felt slow (very slow internet on dial-up and my windows machine with the same dial-up felt faster; ok! so I was coming down off of cable internet).

Well, if you recall my last post, Thomasso requested a recording, so here it is!
Ari, Ari, I love you!
Btw, never used this upload option in WP before since I upgraded, so I hope it works or I didn’t do anything incorrectly.

Sometimes I wonder about people who call Trinidad & Tobago from the US.
Do they realize that it’s outside of the US and actually an international call?
Sales people and such sometimes make calls and since it’s so easy to dial, who knows.
We once got a refund check from some comics we ordered from a catalog. This was probably 10 years ago. And she was struggling to figure out where we were and to whom she should make it out. So, she just dialed! I’m not sure if I told her we weren’t in the US.
Like today I realized I missed a call this morning and checked my voice mail. The missed call was a 646 area code. I know one person with such a number but it’s quite unlikely that he might call me, especially since he doesn’t have my current cell phone.
So, I checked the voice mail.
A bright/happy/… young lady left a message, “Ari, Ari, I love you!”.
Well, may name isn’t Ari.
Poor Ari.
He may not have gotten the message.
Poor dear.
She may not have got to tell him she loved him.
Unless, of course, these are both good things.

Should one leave a job just because one is unhappy?
Or should you try to make it happy.
Or what.
It’s all very confusing.
If you’re tired of your job, how can you tell if it’s that you’re tired of jobs in general (lazy lout who doesn’t want to work a day in her life) or if you’re tired of this job specifically.
And how am I supposed to figure out what I really want to do with myself if I stay in my current place of employment.
*sigh*
