Airports

I am fed up!
We go to the airport like every week.

Some people go once a year and think that’s alot.
GAH!

Come live our life.
Maybe it would be better if I was doing this travelling?
Or not…*sigh*

losers spell it ‘looser’

losers spell it ‘looser’

I was complaining on IRC about some of my peeves.
I was actually wondering about them considering I make spelling mistakes alot and other such things. But I said that this one is oh so very annoying.

So, she asked me if I’d seen her husband’s website…

Technical Interview

or screening or whatever it actually was.

45 minutes on the phone is torture for me.
She thought I was interested in Internet Education. The first time she said it I glossed over it. But then she asked another question really based on it and we worked to clarify the misunderstanding.

I think I got 3 basic problem solving questions. One took me longer than the others…mental blocks? Freaking out? Inability to properly picture questions.

The strange thing is, after the interview I could realise the questions were totally doable and if I’d ever gotten them as assignments I would not have had a problem or I would have but not the major panic attacks I was having. I guess part of the problem was the phone delivery and not having a piece of paper staring at you with the questions to read multiple times all alone. And also the rush to perform…And 45 minutes. And …

Well, I don’t know how it went. I may have solved the problem. I may be absolutely and unequivocally rejected or I may have more interviews. It’s all about experience I guess!

Chennette has made the decision for us…

and it is

THE ASUS W3V.

If you don’t know what I’m talking about, see my last post.

Why you ask? She thinks if I buy the HP too many people will have an HP (we’re not a business after all) and some people might walk away with the wrong laptop and blame other people for “changing their settings”.

Furthermore, I told her that she might be accused of walking away with someone else’s laptop as it is faster and currently has more RAM than hers and a bigger hard disk.

So to avoid fitnah in the family it shall be the ASUS. After all, two powerbooks, two HP dv1000 is quite enough replicates…

Edit: Other sister has agreed. So the three of us have voted ASUS and that’s just how it’s going to be.

Buying a Laptop For Other People

When I wanted my laptop, I was thinking of it and about it since probably October 2004.
I first thought super light because it’s a laptop not some huge brick.
My friends at work were like…but…but…the weight of the other things I’d have to carry around would make the weight add up. I wanted to know what other things. Because if I don’t have a floppy drive, I’m not going to lug around a USB one. The 3.3-lb Sony Vaio I had fixated on had a DVD burner. What other things was he talking about? A mouse? The bag? Power cables?
