losers spell it ‘looser’

losers spell it ‘looser’

I was complaining on IRC about some of my peeves.
I was actually wondering about them considering I make spelling mistakes alot and other such things. But I said that this one is oh so very annoying.

So, she asked me if I’d seen her husband’s website…

  1. Now you see what I go through in my English classes…

I have taken 2 university first year courses so far, and still to this day, I can never get it 100 percent right. I laugh though, because I see the mistakes that most people make only because I have become hyper-sensitive to them, knowing that once these courses are finished, I’ll be back to normal making those same mistakes myself. That’s my rant!

    :)

  2. Hehehe.
And I keep spelling words like realise and authorise and such with a ‘z’ when I’m pretty sure that for me it’s a ‘s’.

    *sigh*

    I have to catch myself.
And the thing is, I’m sure I might be overdoing it at some point but I don’t know and am too lazy to check (lasy? :))

  3. I think sometimes spelling is a genetic thing. I usually get it right, but I don’t get too hot and bothered when people make mistakes, as I know different people see things differently. Me, for example – I have a horriblke sense of direction indoors and awful facial recognition – subject to embarrassing moments. I remember names though. The spelling and grammar thing does annoy me, however, when it comes from the holier-than-thou folk.

  4. Heh.
Well some words bother me specifically, loose/lose and grammer. But I can deal with it :)

  5. I’d rather be looser than loser. :-D

  6. You know, I had my first two years of school in Scotland. I tend to mix up American and British spellings alot.

  7. You mean like kindergarten? in scotland?
    wow
it really left a mark on you! :-p
