Please help me contribute to the following list: Reasons Chennette should get a DSLR

Reasons Chennette should get a DSLR:

  1. She is ready for it
  2. She is our niece’s official photographer and our niece is fast and she can’t afford to miss a shot because of shutter lag!
  3. If she wants to stop having problems with red…
  4. Her pictures will pop even more!
  5. She’ll be able to do such interesting things with focus!
  6. EDIT: Lilandra needs to focus on someone ELSE buying a camera to distract her from urges to spend money on new toys.

In the last week or so I thought of many good reasons but for some reason they elude me. Feel free to contribute!

  2. That’s an awesome reason. Duly noted

  3. Canon is repairing my camera for free…

    so far.
At least that’s what the e-mail said…they’re repairing it for free unless they find out it’s water damage or blah blah blah.
Maybe I don’t need a new camera. So, now it’s just a matter of getting it back to m…

  4. [...] My sister has a Nikon Coolpix 7900 and takes food and travel pictures with it. She likes her camera but now feels the limitations. I’ve been on a campaign to get her to get a DSLR (with which I can play) as I didn’t use my camera much or enough and am probably not ready for a DSLR and am scared I would be wasting money. I don’t think she would be. So, I spent the last few months telling her why she needed a DSLR every time she said something…you know I nagged. (My last campaign for her to get an apple laptop…well that resulted in my having a powerbook…*sigh*) [...]

  5. [...] Deciding between a Nikon d50 and a Canon XTi December 29th, 2006 — chennette Lilandra has been on a campaign for me to buy a DSLR. And it’s true I think I want more than a point and shoot (it’s never a question of NEED when you’re looking at spending several hundred US dollars), but I haven’t had time to do research or think about what I want. So being a true fanatic when it comes to buying gadgets, computers and now cameras, she has been bombarding me with links and reviews and whatnot. And we’ve reached the stage I knew I would reach, where I am ready to buy. But buy what? Her post is a little more detailed as to what we want etc, but we have no photographer people to talk to or stores to visit, so we’re flying blind. Any ideas? [...]
