Dear Niece,
Dear Niece,
I thought you would like to know, not only do you share a birthday with your maternal grandmother but…you also share one with Merle Hodge!
(At least, so I was informed by her niece!)
Your loving aunt.

Then by all rights, she should really become a Georgian, shouldn’t she? It’s destiny!

But mom says she went Bishop’s. All the rest are Georgians.
But yes, you are right.
I had stuck in a line about you know what this means! But I wasn’t sure about the Bishop’s thing.
I don’t recognize them you know.
Comment by Lilandra — Thursday 4th, January 2007 @ 2:33 pm

Also, I not sure if I know Bishop’s uniform.

This entire thread of commentary has me pleasantly bewildered. Fun to read as long as I’m not concerned with understanding it.
Lily – long time no read. Hope the new year finds you and your family well. You and I will both be doing New Year again in a few months (Chinese for me).
Comment by webjones — Saturday 6th, January 2007 @ 12:23 am
webjones!!!
Merle Hodge is a Trinidadian author. She went to Bishop’s Antsey High School as did TriniGourmet (who also went to Smith, Northampton…very very freaky!)
The rest of Merle Hodge’s family went to another school (as in sisters I think, son, nephew, niece with me and my family).
That is all!
I think I got it all.
Hopefully I got it all right too!!!
Happy New Year!!! How’s your family? What camera do you have?
Comment by Lilandra — Saturday 6th, January 2007 @ 12:26 am
Wow. She’s a year old already? Gosh the year went quickly!
Comment by ewe_are_here — Saturday 6th, January 2007 @ 4:23 am

warned you about the Bishop’s thing…:-)
and as for OUR alma mater, wouldn’t they be embarrassed by your dragon-loving person – pretty sure we’re supposed to SLAY them!
Comment by Chennette — Saturday 6th, January 2007 @ 6:13 am
BAH! HUMBUG!
I’m sure that’s a concoction by a certain somebody.
Also. I’m not Christian and into saints and stuff.
Comment by Lilandra — Saturday 6th, January 2007 @ 6:29 am
No you didn’t really warn me about the Bishop’s thing. Hmph. You said Bishop’s girls. You didn’t say any specific ones.
Comment by Lilandra — Saturday 6th, January 2007 @ 6:30 am
oh right…I warned you about it in the comment that was lost to the internet…
Comment by Chennette — Saturday 6th, January 2007 @ 10:51 am

We share a family camera. A lowly Canon A620 7.1mpx. I’m going to clean up my old Nikon FG SLR (24 years old, from back in my art school days) and start futzing around with it. The Daughter, who is really an excellent photographer wants to learn how to use the old school camera.
Comment by webjones — Wednesday 10th, January 2007 @ 11:55 pm
Oh, so webjones, you’re saying you’re a Nikon guy too, huh?
I want to learn how to use an SLR too!
