The Chocolate Croissant

The Chocolate Croissant Pictures,
originally uploaded by Lilandra.
I bought this Chocolate Croissant in Guyana from The Roti Hut.
Then, I sat down and took many pictures of it, which helped me to decide, YES! I want a DSLR!
:)

Did you manage to get a chance to eat it after all that work?
he he…. you should follow it up with a shot of just the crumbs left behind. :D

Who have time to take pictures while eating???
Yeah, TriniGourmet, it’s very very weird. I don’t comprehend it either. Except they’re from/by a huge bread chain in Guyana that also sells…well regular bakery stuff, or regular guyanese bakery stuff.
So…maybe Chennette can tell us more about Bakewell. I didn’t like the carrot cake so much tho.

The Roti Hut is trying to tap into the bourge-y cafe/dining market (not very many in Georgetown), while still having real food, real Guyanese food. So they have some good pastries and breads, never before seen in Guyana, as well as roti and curries, cookup, some biriyani and burgers etc etc. And coffee. But their eating area is lit by glowing red. Not sure what they were going for. I try for the biriyani and pastries regularly. Nice to have breads though.

i guess where i live we are spoiled with french desserts. chocolate croissants and almond paste ones are a way of life here. we have ones also that have a strip of dark chocolate melted inside called “chocolatines” [said, of course, in the most french of accents ;P]. they are all my favourites :)
roti hut, hehe. reminds me of NA “pizza hut”.
as for the DSLR? YES, YES & MORE YES ;) i have a manual SLR i love but would not say no to a digital one. hope your dream/wishes manifest soon.

I can say it in french…don’t know about the accent tho :-p
We can get them in Rituals (the coffee place) in the airport. My most favourite croissant is spinach and feta!
mmmm
DSLR: D50 or D80??
