For Better or For Worse

If the comment in yesterday’s strip is a foreshadowing of Paul being a two-timer then then…I am really fed up and annoyed.

It better be something else.

How can you make him a nice guy and then make him bad.
The only “positive” about that is that it’s possible she’s setting Liz up with Warren and not Anthony but still…

*steups*

She should just be single. Isn’t she younger than me???

  1. you takin’ de stripz hardcore :D

  2. I’m not surprised in the slightest, as you know; obvious from a mile away when they first brought in her replacement at the school.

And I’m sure they’ll go with the ‘it just happened’ and ‘we just reconnected’ angle because they grew up together…

My only question: did the helicopter pilot who used to date her (and obviously still likes her) know? He seemed awfully eager to get her up there a day early as a ‘surprise’.

  3. Yeah, I figure that’s the whole point.
    Opportunistic!!!
What do you think is better, surprising someone or sitting them down and telling them.

    TriniGourmet: It’s so ANNOYING!

  4. I just started reading this again. For some reason, I stopped a few years ago.

But I’m very interested to see how this whole thing turns out.

I did think it was very interesting that an old “blast from the past” showed up in her life, just as I’m showing up to read the story again.

  5. you made me read 2 weeks worth of this last night to end up with today’s strip…sigh…

  6. It is annoying. And Paul should have had the decency to tell her waaaaay before she made her trip up North (assuming we’re all right) so she could have decided not to even make the trip if she so chose. Having Liz ‘be surprised’ and discover it for herself rather sucks. Especially since everyone else seems to know about it.

  7. For Better or For Worse: With Susan?…

    *growls*
Just so you know, I have no problem with her having moved back home.
    back to the growling.

    ……

  8. It is heinous.

People are also implying if Lynn Johnston does this then…hmmm…she’s prejudiced/racial..

  9. Yes, Chennette I did! I needed somebody to rant to.

Jennifer: I think I only started rereading it a few years now. I’m not sure why. It was in my papers…I stopped reading the papers and then when I started accumulating comics to read a couple years ago I put it on my list…and then infected my sister…
I missed most of the Mitgwaki (sp??) stuff which I heard was pretty cool.

  10. Wow, you’re doing fannish musings on a comic strip?

To be honest, I used to follow that strip pretty faithfully as a kid until the baby they had on the strip went from about a month old to 2 years old overnight. Then I felt betrayed and completely lost interest. I still glance at it from time to time, but it’s never grabbed my interest the again. The humor doesn’t seem to be there. It’s more of an average-family soap opera now.

  11. It’s just so annoying.
I used to read it and I know I used to think it was funny.
I started back reading and…it sucked in the funny department…it was lame but it took too much energy to delete it from my subscriptions.

I could muse on comics more if I had the energy I guess…i tired…how allyuh going?
