I’m not buying the rumors about the ‘mixed race marriage’ controversy. I’ve spent a lot of time in Canada and have a lot of Canadian friends; I just don’t see it.

As for the cheating boyfriend, happens all the time (and v.v.). I’m just shocked not one single friend who knew – and there were lots of them – couldn’t be bothered to tell her.

We should start a pool on who she’ll end up with.

I think I once read that April was the third child she didn’t have!

So, Liz is my age…well or a year older but close enough.

Man, I’m from a conservative family and a religion where I’m considered old maid but I’m still unmarried yet…it seems they’re making her head off to blah blah blah land.

What’s annoying is that we all saw it when Susan came and met Paul before Liz left. We all saw it. Ooo…Lynn will say that it was the characters speaking to her (and us) I’m sure. But considering that Liz has been cheated on already (I missed that!) one wonders how she didn’t see it.

Other people are saying aha! Lynn isn’t allowing a mixed marriage/relationship in her immediate family.

Do I have the strength to stop reading?

Wow…they’re like neighbours to you!

I followed a link on ewe are here’s page, and lo and behold, you’re talking about FBOFW…. I read that online every day, and I’m SO with you – I can’t believe Paul cheated on Liz! It’s just shocking! (And more than that I was bummed that she’s gone all the way up to see him, and now she probably will just want to leave.)

Anyhow, regarding Liz – I think she’s around 28 or 29, because I basically grew up with Michael, who is around 31 (my age). I grew up in Ontario, and that’s where they’re from. I had friends who went to the same university that Michael went to… I have always wondered what parts of them are real and what parts aren’t. I don’t believe that April really exists, but I that the characters Michael and Elizabeth were based on Lynn’s real kids. However, I think that she divorced their father and is remarried, so there are definite differences between her real life and the comic.
