Making Pastelles

Mom and I made pastelles today.
Yes, they are traditional Christmas food but we like ‘em anywayz.

We made lamb pastelles. They were yummy!
If mom provides me with a recipe (for the cornmeal dough and the lamb filling), I will post it.

Pastelles Set on Flickr Some of the pictures on the set are better than the ones I post here, but bear in mind, all were taken with my camera phone. Here’s a sampling! :)

  1. well, you could have waited till Wednesday :-) for my camera, but they look great anyway – can’t wait to have some.

    don’t eat all of them!!

  2. We were supposed to make ‘em Friday night.
I’m surprised to note that some of the pictures actually came out great, considering. You can see the moistness…and…also not see those weird streaky lines.

But mom doesn’t like to wait or pause while people taking pictures. Such a painful process!

  3. where mine? :)

  4. she have no respect for the cameraphone? tsk tsk

  5. TriniGourmet: In the fridge…with Chennette’s ;-)

Chennette: It seems she doesn’t. I say wait and she pauses for a second which is not any time when you tying a parcel.
