I’m off to “uncivilized lands”¹ with no internet

1. that is, my sister’s apartment in Barbados²
2. not Barbados³ itself of course, just my sister’s place as she doesn’t have internet…Barbados does
3. since i’ve never been to Barbados⁴ i can’t pass judgement on it⁵
4. itsy child visits where i lost a bucket and spade don’t count and neither do stopovers where i stay in the plane
5. but you just wait, in a week’s time i will have been⁶
6. i’ll also be safely out of Barbados in case i want to start badtalking⁷ Barbados
7. but why in the world would i want to?⁸
8. certainly not because i’ve heard strange stories⁹
9. and even if i did, i’m going to give you a chance

Yes.
I caved.
I didn’t plan some exotic vacation to a freezing country.
I’m just going to sponge off Chennette for a week.
Yes, I am escaping T&T for Carnival.
I will be gone from 15th to the 22nd with NO INTERNET BECAUSE CHENNETTE IS LAME.
(She is already plotting ways not to have me over *sob*).

You can send me text messages if you miss me! :-)
(And know my phone numbers and if I have them on and hear them buzzing…you get the picture.)

A week in Barbados.
What will I do!

Set exams, most likely.
Go to Thai restaurant.

Well, not precisely as it would be dangerous to drop pins in my room.
But I can hear the sound of two pins brushing against each other.

It’s such a fine tinkly sound.
I can hear other fine sounds. When I hear more, I will update you.

At what cost? Well some slight discomfort and some blood (ew) and other grossness but ooo hear! I hear!

But, hearing doesn’t necessarily make your understanding any greater or your ability to process audio input. I’m still slow on figuring out what you’re saying. Still expect delayed response.

I also need shoes but shoe shopping is super-depressing.
