Doubles Lady at Piarco International Airport

Earlier this year as we were dropping Chennette off at the airport, she sent mom and me off to buy her some doubles.

She also sent me with her camera to take pictures of a professional…so tada! Here they finally are, with her camera!

She makes some excellent doubles and look at the wide array of chutneys. I’m partial to cucumber and bandania. I really like her roasted red pepper sauce but it’s very hot and I get pink and swollen lips and maybe belly rumblings but it’s oh sooooo goood!

Here’s the whole set!

Cricket World Cup: Ireland vs England

England 266/7 (50 ov)
Ireland 218 (48.1 ov)

*sigh*

Ireland lost by 48 runs :-(

I am sad…but I think they did well…better than us?

Cricket World Cup: South Africa vs Sri Lanka

Just in case you thought I wasn’t paying attention to any but the West Indies matches (or matches occurring in Trinidad & Tobago)…two days ago South Africa beat Sri Lanka (same day we batted against Australia and lost).

And Malinga got 4 wickets in 4 consecutive deliveries!!!
I know 3 wickets in 3 deliveries is called a hat trick but what’s 4?
I think they said it was a first in International cricket!!

But Sri Lanka still lost! :(

West Indies vs New Zealand

*sigh*

I guess this just means we have to beat everybody else (England, South Africa, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka).

*sigh*

I still love my team…just am disappointed.

Cricket World Cup: West Indies vs Australia

*sigh*

I even had a story to tell.
Well, maybe later.
We play somebody else today.

Cricket World Cup: West Indies vs Australia

I’ve never been sure why they say we have two seasons in the tropics.
I mean seriously.
Okay, sure, there’s some pockets where it rains more, rains less and doesn’t rain at all.
There’s drought, there’s flooding.

So fine, we have two “seasons” but why do we try to separate them?

In secondary school geography, I learned the dry season is from January (maybe December) to May and the rainy season is from June to December.

But you know it rains any time it pleases?
Okay, maybe that’s global warming.

What’s the point, you ask?

Australia made 322/6 in 50 overs and well, we didn’t play because of rain.
So, we’re continuing the match today.
*mutters*

Also, day after we have another match.

Cricket World Cup: West Indies vs Australia

*today*

I think.

*yikes*

I’m sooo scared.
First match of the Super Eights.
Oh my oh my oh my!

And I have class.

Also, some news sites say Pakistan team is no longer a suspect in the Bob Woolmer murder.
