Linux and Powersaving monitors
Well, I recently installed…DEBIAN!!! woooohooo!! More on that later and my screen would black out after inactivity.
I figured it was like a screensaver…but it was good enough as in less light.
Tonight, every time I woke up, Fajr, morning, etc, I discovered my screen was still all bright and not black and…well you know…light light light keeping you awake so during some install/uninstall/reinstall of software the screensaver mode got lost
So, carla, linked to akk’s screen blanking page and I think it now even goes into power saver mode.
yay
for now (more on this later)
:)
I need to post these links here else…I’ll keep asking the same questions again and again and again!

woohoo

English: I installed a new Operating System. It’s called Debian.
I am now able to make my screen go to sleep…not just go black like a black screen saver but turn off like if the monitor is off.
Kevin: thanks!
I may join it! I not sure yet. I’m working on getting my system up to my satisfaction so, yes, I believe I will be googling thru there and other sites alot!
thanks once again!
