Cricket World Cup: Brian Lara, West Indies vs England
Brian Lara has announced that not only is he retiring from one day cricket (which is what Cricket World Cup is) but also from all international cricket. Is this first class too?
So, this match on Saturday will be his last playing for West Indies.
It’s sad.
But I can pretend I’m going to see a historic match.
Unless things change and someone convinces him to come back for Test Cricket.
Well, maybe they’ll win because of it. They beat Bangladesh yesterday.
We shall see.
You do not have to pretend , you did go to an historic match. Many may not realise it but the retirement of Brian Lara is the highlight of this World Cup. So whether Australia wins or whoever , Lara’s resignation would be the reason people would remember the world cup. So……….
