Cricket World Cup: Surprise! Surprise! Australia beat South Africa!

They haven’t lost a match.
I do think that a team that has gone through the whole world cup without a lost deserves to win!

But, that doesn’t mean I don’t have underdog leanings.
So, I’m supporting Sri Lanka in the finals.

And since it’s not West Indies playing (yes, you may laugh), I won’t mind so much if Australia wins.

I just hope Sri Lanka manages to fight…and do extremely well, unlike their performance against Australia in Super Eights.

Dad has already told mom he will be doing nothing on Saturday until after the finals.
I have told her the same (she suggested shopping!!!)

Cricket World Cup: Sri Lanka onto the finals!

Sri Lanka just bowled out New Zealand in the first semi finals.
They’ll most likely be playing Australia in the finals.

I hope they win.
Okay, so I’m supporting Sri Lanka. If Australia wins, they clearly deserve it. They’ve been annihilating the competition.

And I did go to cricket on Saturday. More on that when I dig myself out from under grading.

Cricket World Cup: Brian Lara, West Indies vs England

Brian Lara has announced that not only is he retiring from one day cricket (which is what Cricket World Cup is) but also from all international cricket. Is this first class too?

So, this match on Saturday will be his last playing for West Indies.

It’s sad.
But I can pretend I’m going to see a historic match.
Unless things change and someone convinces him to come back for Test Cricket.

Well, maybe they’ll win because of it. They beat Bangladesh yesterday.

We shall see.

You may be happy to know

that Chennette fed me.

Good food to.

There were baked potatoes, rubbed with garlic and substitute butter.
And steamed cauliflower.
Rocket greens.
Baigan and crimini mushrooms roasted.
And, what we have waited for a looong time to try since we saw it on Take Home Chef, toasted havarti cheese on french bread.

It was all GOOD and we didn’t even need a cream sauce to bind it all together.

:)

Cricket World Cup: My first match?

I’m going to a match on Saturday, the outcome of which doesn’t matter to anyone…except maybe some West Indian pride (Same for tomorrow).

I’m not worrying any more.
We just don’t want to play, it seems.

And people complaining about how you were promised a match between Pakistan and India on whatever day that Ireland vs Bangladesh match was…get a grip. I don’t care that you spent thousands of dollars. What are you implying? That you paid off ICC to make sure Pakistan and India qualified? They had to qualify past the first round for crying out loud.

All you could have been promised was that *if* Pakistan made it through, they would be playing then and *if* India made it through they would have been playing then and *if* they both made it through to the Super Eights, they would have been playing against each other. It would always have been taking a chance on that match being them. They didn’t do what they had to do. Not anybody else. But that doesn’t mean they deserve violent treatment either.

So, if Pakistan and India lost all three of their matches, you would still want them to play in the Super Eights? Of course you would but shouldn’t some sense kick in? That they had to earn the right to get there. I want us to be in the semi finals…but we didn’t earn it.

Cricket World Cup: Ireland vs Bangladesh

It’s like Ireland has been saving up and training *just* for this match.
If they win they get…full ODI status?

*prays*

Limited Comprehension?

I’m very sad.
Recently I’ve been much slower.

I think my comprehension skills are declining severely.

My memory? Who knows!
I think, “I have to do this” and I open up a webpage … or go to open it up, get slightly distracted and then can’t remember what I wanted to do. I just remember the burning desire to *do* something.

It’s sending me crazy.

Why???
I mean, I’ve always been a tad bit slower with audio input. Most of the times my hearing is slightly reduced and it takes me a little bit longer than the people around me to process what I heard into meaning. But the written word? Unless it’s a long complicated construction…I’m usually quicker. I find myself staring at things trying to understand.

Am I just too tired? I hope it’s just that I’m too tired.
