Baking Until I Drop

Quotation of the moment:

Sunday 22nd, July 2007

I am currently taking so much pills

that I can’t even recognize when I have a cold/virus/flu.

*sigh*

Thankfully SuperMom is always around to prescribe panadol multisymptom and tell me that I have a cold or something.
How would we manage without SuperMom?
I would think my sleepless nights and tossing and turning on the bed and 20 hours a day of lying down on the bed (not necessarily sleeping) is me just withering away … Alhamdulillah for SuperMom!

But today I managed to make myself stay awake for….6 hours so far? And I talked to people (brother, SuperMom, daddy) a lot…so much that my simple sore throat (only sign of a virus I could see) is thinking of escalating into my losing my voice! I could barely talk to sister and niece on the phone!!!

Yes, I am no longer in Guyana. I’ve been home for about two weeks now but I haven’t had the energy to post, comment, send much email…actually do much. I had to shut down the computer a couple days ago and I haven’t even logged back into IRC. I feel so lost. But I can’t even sleep in my bed so what’s the point since the computer isn’t where I’m sleeping.

I’m so sick.

I’m fed up of being sick.

And people think I should reconsider my job.
Hmph.

  1. IRC still exists? damn! blast from my past :)

    feel better :( *hug*

  2. BRAT!

    Yes it still exists! :-p

Well I feel better when I remember to take the silly panadol…

SuperMom was reading about herself. I told her to be careful or else I’d tell more stories about SuperMom.

And I really liked the army of chocolate biscotti.
I haven’t even felt up to looking at all Chennette’s photos on flickr and usually I at least manage that much to give her views.

Too many sick people in the house. I should not at all be competing with the pregnant person. *sigh*

  3. well…I can’t see HOW you could possibly compete with producers of grandchildren ;-) but you should usually always listen to SuperMom unless you have a doctor’s certificate saying otherwise. Or if like some people, you have reactions to SuperMom’s previous ministrations…

Hope you feel better. And for the public record, leaving the job for your health and wellbeing should not mean going back to the same place right away.

  4. Sorry you’re not feeling well.

And don’t return to your old job unless YOU think it would be a good move.

  5. OUCH…. Sounds like the same virus I had about a month ago. Four days of “am I dead,” followed by one week of “OK, I’m alive, but still wish I were dead,” and then another week of “sinuous and coughing bouts.” Not a good way to spend your unemployment. …and thank goodness for “Super Mom!”

    Get Well!

  6. Thanks all for the wellwishes!
I think I’m better. Not totally but I did manage to stay awake from just after 9 in the morning to now…a quarter to midnight.

You may not think this is much of an achievement but I also was out of the house…gallivanting for 9 of those 20.5 hours and when you consider in the last few weeks if I was awake for 9 hours, that was PLENTY!

And I told my old job that I wasn’t interested. I’m very interested in finding myself and becoming a better ME and all that stuff.

Yay I had a good long tiring day…PICTURES TO COME! (but not D80).

Thomasso, did you finally get better? :) Well I hope that my unemployment lasts much longer than my sicknesses so I will not worry but just get better!

SuperMom enjoyed reading about herself but she referred to the blogosphere as “John Public”.

ewe, i will try that meme eventually…

i saw lots of babies today! two! one was tiny and one was big and HEAVY!

  7. “Did I get better…?” Oh yes, about after three weeks I was completely void of any flu related symptoms. I am just glad it is over–especially having a summer time flu!.

  8. i’m a Jane public :D lolz!

  9. are you sure? you’re one of them anonymous bloggers on the net
    it could be a TRICK!
