Pink?
I’m an aunty for the second time!
My brother’s daughter was born yesterday at 10:55 am.
She weighs 6 lbs 8 oz and is 51 cm long.
And she looks surprisingly like my other niece (and her father!) and less like her other cousin (who was born 8 weeks ago and herself looks like her father!).
Either my mother (we blame mom) has very dominant genes or my brother’s in-laws have very recessive genes :-)
But yay.
But my brother isn’t here.
Oh.
And she’s very pink! and red!

just like the other niece was then…

Do you feel older now that your siblings are starting their families? Congratulations on your new addition to your family—I’m sure she’ll get her colour very soon.

lol
you mean you’re sure she won’t be tomato red anymore? :-)
and do i feel my clock ticking?
i dunno
i do feel that “oh boy this labour thing is really painful and why would i want to go through it when i have all these perfectly good nieces and willing incubators around!”

Ha hah…ha…
No, I think, or I hope that she does not have a tomato red colour for the rest of her life! :)
Yes, I guess that’s what I mean: the clock is ticking!
Since I come from a family of three sisters, and they all have their children, one even has a bun in the oven as I speak, I know that the maternal instinct always creeps in and over-rules any logic–pain, or no pain. You may be thinking of the labour, and all that other stuff, but when you hear a child cry, or you burp one, Hah, it’s game over for you, you’ll want a child of your own!
But ya, I feel the same way, there’s already way too many people on the planet, populations reductions may be the wave of the future….? Plus kid are expensive! It cost a lot to feed an extra mouth these days!
