I made cookies
I made cookies last night. Bureka Boy’s Peanut Butter cookies
No flour at all! Just three ingredients.
They’re very soft and nice.
Chennette has asked me a few times to make them with her…or planned to make them and couldn’t….
When she was here before her vacation, she was like let’s make them. I was like fine…*if* we have peanut butter. Because it had finished some days ago and there was only some of the no-sugar natural peanut butter. And of course we didn’t have time to make it. We were shopping!!!
So I decided to make them before she gets back tonight.
Unfortunately, I knew *of* the recipe and knew she must’ve seen it online on somebody’s blog but had no clue where. I pored through our cookbooks and found lots of things to do with peanut butter (I must prep some of these ingredients some time). And…my laptop is getting slower…I sat down and went to her website and opened ALMOST ALL the links in her blogroll, and in each I searched for cookie…of course some people’s site had loads of mentions of cookies (some had none, some had a couple). So I searched for peanut butter cookie…and tada there it was. A lot of hard work.
I didn’t take pictures of the process…he gives it to you.
I’ll take pictures tomorrow of the actual cookies…with some light hopefully…and post them.
Of course in pouring through all Chennette’s links and Bureka Boy’s cookies I found lots of things I want to make (baked brie, poppy seed cookies) and am *almost* inspired.
:-)
Also, times are hard. Flour and rice shortage.
Mom and Dad planted sweet potatoes sometime between birth of niece 2 and that of nephew. They dug up more than 4.5 lbs and it tasted really good!
And of course I had to take pictures of it for them. I did. But it’s still on my camera. I will get it soon.
On the weekend we’re gonna barbeque some lamb (not in the oven! yay!) and I’m gonna make sweet potato fries! WOOHOOO! AWESOME! We might roast some potatoes and who knows what else. Grill pineapples? :-) Chennette should be happy.
Still leaves the question of what to cook for her tonight when she comes home. Maybe we should do traditional brother dish…lasagne?
Who knows!
Ah well, nice talking to “you” again :-)
PS I WANT NEW TOYS
*sob*
I’m ready to have money again.
