Baking Spree

I’m on a baking spreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee…:-)

I started with cheddar biscuits (refrigerator cookies) so they in the freezer now for whenever anybody wants to bake it.

I was going to make four things…a coffee cookie but when the shortbread recipe said to knead dough on some surface and i was faced with this drippy thing (maybe I melted the butter too much instead of softened) I was perplexed and worried. Maybe I measured the flour wrong. I didn’t want it to be floury so *sigh*

But it seems to be coming out okay…I just don’t know if it’s done yet.

The bagels are on their first rise. I was supposed to make the cookies while the bagels were rising. It’s probably time to separate/shape them now.

It’s hard being alone. Nobody to wash the wares or help or de-stress you when you think you’re baking too much. I wonder if I can still make the cookies?

Anywayz off to deal with bagels.

Don’t expect a lot of posts for me this month. I am *computer-less*.

Hmmm. Jamie seems to need this too. Although he claims that he bakes to relieve stress, so who knows? :)

  4. Wow. I think that’s more than worth the cost. Bagels. mmmm…

And you need that company thing from Mom – she likes someone to be there, to instruct, show, and most importantly, wash anything before it hits the sink :-D

  5. Well I will admit, the company thing is mostly to do with the wares. I don’t need them to be washed like mom…but I do need it to be washed eventually.

And I’d rather not do it.

And…if someone else is there then they can watch things while you go sit under the fan you know.

But it’s amazing what you can get done if you start at 8:30 am.

  6. Rachel: maybe Jamie likes an audience…he’s a natural-born performer! :-p

  7. 8.30 a.m.

    wow.

I would be impressed if I didn’t have to get up at 6.45 am ALL WEEKEND
