As we were leaving Makkah, en route to Madinah, we saw some “houses”. There were quite a lot of them in fact, unfinished, roofless, windowless, doorless, abandoned structures.
One of them, about two to three hours into the drive, had BISWAS written on the side, in capital letters! Unfortunately I have no photographic evidence (we were in a bus)!

I know, I know, some of you Arabs/Arabic speakers (hmm do any read here?) will come and tell me what the actual significance of the phrase BISWAS is but for now…I prefer to imagine!

Well, I still check it out…but I don’t rant about it any more as if I’m still reading it and torturing myself then that’s my own fault. I should just stop.

If I were to summarize what we’ve learned from For Better or For Worse so far, it would have to be “Trust No One”.

And you know what Susan is just as bad as Paul and she hasn’t apologized or anything as far as we can see. Because they don’t feel guilty, of course. And don’t tell me he lied to her too about breaking up with Liz because if he did and she’s still with him she’s an idiot.

I don’t think it makes him look any better.
She was going to stay.

He told her or led her to believe he got transferred down to her.

Can it get any worse?
I can’t believe I read it today….
He’s a Northerner. He’d never make it over there. But one expects her to make it here. How can he say, oh I’m getting the transfer…when would he say he was being transferred to Spruce Narrows and not Ontario. This paints him as an even worse cad/scoundrel.
Rachel linked me to a friend’s LJ which pushed me to read it, pointing out that Lynn’s message is “all aboriginals should stick together”.
Today’s strip says it’s more than just Paul and Susan. It’s the town/village. Weren’t any of them her friends?
If I were Liz…well I won’t say it but I would be very distrusting of all humans.
I’d go off and live like a hermit away from “well meaning people” and “friends”
